Holiday Traffic and a MeMe

Do not leave your house. Do not pass go. Do not collect $100. The holiday shoppers are out in full force. They are armed with vehicles and they are considered dangerous. If you should happen to come accross one of these fiercesome creatures, drive with caution. If they cut you off, let it go. If they drive in the wrong lane, knowing it will end in 30 feet but insist on zooming by you and then pulling in front of you (though there's no room to do so), just let them over. If they run their car into yours in the parking lot, leave everything and RUN! These people are crazy! Do not attempt to reason with them.

It took me an hour to go 10 miles yesterday at 1 p.m. I'm still recovering from the case of road rage that I came down with.

And I just found out that Katherine tagged me today, so here's my meme. :)

A- Available or single? Single AND available! (I don't get why that's a choice. Aren't they the same?)

B- Best Friend? My mom.

C- Cake or pie? Cake. Or chocolate pie from Ukrops (Katherine, I may need you to feed my Ukrops habit, since we don't have any here.) I'm a firm believer that fruit is a separate food course. It is not desert.

D- Drink of choice? Milk - I'm addicted to milk. But I'll have strong bones!

E- Essential item I use every day. My iPod. It's hard to get through a workout without it.

F- Favorite color: Blue to look at, black to wear.

G- Gummy Bears or Gummy Worms? Nobody likes me everybody hates me think I'll go eat worms. :) (actually, I'd prefer the bears)

H- Hometown? Podunk, Virginia

I- Indulgence: A steak dinner, pedicures, massages

J- January or February? Neither. I hate winter. But my birthday is in January, so I'll pick that over evil-Valentines February.

K- Kids and names: One cat, named Pooh Bear. He acts just like a kid

L- Life is incomplete without? TRAVEL!

M- Marriage date:
Yes, please

N- Number of siblings: 1 sister, younger by 6 years.

O- Oranges or apples? Apples.

P- Phobias or fears? I do not like spiders. Or 'piders as I call them.

Q- Favorite quote? "I have my country's 500th anniversary to plan, my wedding to arrange, my wife to murder, and Gilder to frame for it. I'm swampped!" Prince Humperdink in the Princess Bride.

R- Reasons to smile: I've lost 13 pounds!

S- Season: I am a summer girl.

T- Tag 3 or 4 people. If you wanna do it, go ahead.

U- Unknown fact about me: I've flown in the Snoopy One Metlife blimp

V- Vegetable you don’t like:
All of them

W- Worst habit: My OCD about checking the door at night to be sure it's locked.

X- X-Rays: I think I've had every X-ray that exists.

Y- Your favorite food? Steak and chocolate (not at the same time)

Z- Zodiac sign: Capricorn on the cusp of Aquarius, whatever that means.

I'm with ya on that. And, your area is probably as crazy as mine. Suburban Philadelphia is no picnic, either.

I have a theory on the holiday shoppers. It's the one time of year when EVERYONE has to be out, and they're out, inconveniencing those of us who know how to behave in public.

My solution for these asshats: Internet shopping.

Be brave. Four days to go.

A Blimp? How cool is that?!!

I may have to try this. Some day. Maybe sooner than you think.

Hmmmmmmmmmm, don't like veggies, eh?

Ya, what the h e l l IS cusp anyway?

Oh, I so hear you on the holiday traffic! My word, I went to Wendy's yesterday for lunch and the people were just insane (I work by a mall - big mistake to venture out at lunch, but I think I've learned that lesson). Seriously, have people not heard of the Internet? There's a wealth of Christmas shopping to be had online and you don't even have to leave your house! We need to educate the masses!!

Oh, great job! Thanks for humoring me and playing along. I think it is so wonderful that your best friend is your mom!! I'm a little unclear on how a chick that has lost 13 lbs. can hate every vegetable, though! hee

I'm with YOU! How can there be a choice between single and available? Well... wait... if I were single again I would still be NOT available!!! LOL! But that's different! ;)

I explained the bongo man in my comment to MAR today... run over there and read it! LOL! (I'm just sending people everywhere today!)

I am SO offended by your hometown's name!!! I know for a fact that's not how you spell it!!! Even though that's exactly how the majority of people who live there pronounce AND spell it.

Who am I kidding? Those people can't spell.

I love going home - it's the ONE place I can go and feel superior. Not bitchy - I just feel like a better person. And I don't treat them like minions. I treat them with the respect that I feel I deserve in my current town. There's no more superior feeling than that.

Dang I can't wait to get there!! The traffic there will be calm compared to how it seems to be EVERYWHERE ELSE!!

Take it from someone who has been married a couple of months now, being single is not that bad. ;)

You go girl! I'm a firm believer that fruit is its own separate deal, as well.

Congrats again on your superier weight loss of 13 lbs!

Holiday traffic frightens me which is why I do all of the shopping online. I don't have to go and fight with the crazies and end up smoking half a pack of cigarettes by the time I get in the car so I personally think of it as "a healthy choice".

And for the record, you're not the only one who checks to make sure the door is locked!

Good meme! I just might tag myself.

I love that Princess Bride quote!

Congrats on the weight loss, I hate piders too and how was the blimp?

I can't believe you said, "Yes, please" to having a marriage date! Who brings a date to their own wedding?!

Wait! I do.

Yeah, that first one seems kinda stupid.

And good gravy, if checking your door is your worst habit, I think you'll be fine :)

Snoopy!!! Did you watch I Want A Dog For Christmas, Charlie Brown last night?

Try that Christmas shopping frenzy driving in a blizzard! There are folks here trying it today. Certifiable!!! DH did it too but gave up after one stop. He had better have gotten me something very nice for that. He rolled his eyes when I forced him to take my cell phone...just in case.

I'll think about your meme when my brain isn't still spinning from all the exercising.
