Rain Rain Go Away

It has been raining here for an entire week. I'm in sun deprivation mode, and can hardly wait until those rays come shining down on me again.

Because of that lack of sunshine, and another series of events I'll get to next week when I can write about them and do them justice, I am down in the dumps and feelin' blue. I'm also very tired. I'm sure a good night's sleep will work wonders as well. And two days of no work.

So, I apologize for not having a witty, interesting post today.

I think you should eat loads of comfort food, watch a good rom com (Moonstruck always does it for me) or a few eps of Sex & The City, have an early night and buy yourself something purr-ty in the morning.

Hey, if you fly over to the UK, we've got David Hasselhoff doing a signing tomorrow... there's still time to catch that flight, make yourself beautiful (which will take NO time) and join me while I get my breasts autographed... fancy that?

You're not the only one, Carmen. Having been sick for two days, the human pet feels more like a piece of useless carbon than a real asset to society. I'd headbutt you real hard to show you I care, but I don't want to hurt you. ;)

There's definitely a psychological effect that rain has on us. It's been raining in NJ for a couple of days - the drizzly kind that makes the wipers squeak.

Sorry you're feeling blue. The best I can do is a "Cyber-hug". When it gets really bad for me, a trip to the National Gallery always does it, especially the East wing. And the Hirshorn. Good for what ails me.

As for being interesting, don't worry, I feel like I should apologize every day! :)

Yes, it' was raining here for several days, really was getting blah around here, and my boyfriends had a cold and been in bed for two days...the house is a mess...and easily getting kind of blue around here. Today is sunny, thank goodness and late afternoon, we forced ourselves outside for a walk in the sun.

Thanks for coming to my blog yesterday...and it is really cool you are trying to eat organic. Yes, many things are more expensive organic than not, although Whole Foods promises its products to be about 20 cents cheaper than other grocery stores. For the most part, that is true. The meat is expensive though, whew. We are buying tofu, and eating that twice a week. Makes for a really affordable dinner, under ten bucks for two people. I fry saute the tofu in tamamri, cayenne, olive oil and lots of garlic...then it tastes super good. I slice it as thin as I can and just pop it in a big pan for a few minutes. Actually, with brocoli...it's only about 5 dollars for us both to eat a big serving!!!

A lot of people expressed feeling guilty yesterday after my Thursday Thirteen and I feel really bad about that. I read your comment at Anthony's too about driving a big car.

My intention wasn't to make people feel guilty but to just think a little differently...and I posted a response at my blog today regarding yesterdays TT list. I hope you have a chance to pop by and take a lookie.

In the meantime, I hope you get some bright light, and aregenerate your energy!

Cheers,
Candy

I think I wrote a similar post a few weeks ago. "And the Sky Is Gray". It'll be ok. *Hugs and Chocolate Cheesecake*

My advice, Carmen: Model your day after my life.

8 naps per day, at least 1.5 hours each. Eat your weight in snacks. Demand someone stroke you lovingly while you purr sweetly.

It's a great way to combat your blues...

I crave the rain in AZ, we don't get nearly enough.

On another note, I just booked my ticket for Hawaii for December. I can't wait!
