I am fascinated by hot-air balloons (got loads of prints of them around the house) and I was just telling Husband the other day that he should take me on a ride. He said he'd pay for it but I'd have to do it on my own. Nice, isn't it?!

Hubby and I had a champagne ride on our 25th anniversary. All I remember was how cold it was! Dang it was cold. LOL

I watch the lift off of a hot air ballon race every year as part of the Kentucky Derby Festival. I have seen something simular to the fist picture as they fire up the burners filling the ballon and causing it to lift up and soon off the ground. I have never been up in one. I would be scared to death but that would be fun if I could over come the fear. Very nice hunt entry.
January 9, 1793 ~ the first flight of a balloon in North America occured in Philadelphia and was piloted by Jean-Pierre Blanchard. It landed in Deptford, close to where I live.
One of these days, I'll get up in one. So far, I've only been inside the partially-inflated balloon while it was laying on the ground. The pilots were nice enough to let me lean in. Makes for some cool color photos.
I think.. you are brave. Yup-- cause I would be crying like a baby once I couldn't touch the ground by just hopping out. LOL! It is gorgeous though!

This is on my list of things to do before I die. I may have to go with my friends though because hubby is afraid of heights!
I've heard it is hot if you go during warm weather. Probably fall would be great when the leaves are turning.

What a great view, but I'm not sure I could be as brave as you were. You're right...I bet it was hot, because that picture looks awfully steamy to me.
