Melli & Me

We had a successful blogger lunch, Melli and I! She is as entertaining in person as she is on her blog. But I did forget to get her to tap dance for me. Next time!

Lunch at Hamburger Hamlet was as yummy as expected. Both of us Metro'ed in from our locations and met up there. Here we are looking beatutiful. :)

Melli also got to witness the kind of freakish pickin's there are out there for us single gals. I think she may have a new appreciation for her hubby. ha ha. The waiter who took our picture was a little on the odd side - she has a picture, if she hasn't posted it already, ask her. He overheard us talking about a dental proceedure, and it intrigued him, and we got a medical lesson on why teeth are porous and should remain that way. (M'kay. Now go away) He also said my hands were soft and that I obviously moisturized after calling me a "pretty thing". (Note to men, that's not a turn-on, the hand comment or the "pretty thing" comment.) He had just gotten out of the military, who (and I editorialize here) obviously has a don't-ask-don't-tell policy. LOL

What a great picture and you look super cute. Very scary about the waiter and I checked out the pic on Melli's website and that's just plain strange. Looks like slim pickin's

Too funny - sounds like you had a great time. Keep that waiter out your way.

Looks like a fun time (w/o the waiter problem). Other than the bloggers that I already know, I can't imagine meeting one in person.

OMG Carmen!! I just commented on Melli's blog that "No wonder Carmen's not found Mr. Right!!!" kinda post, and your blog makes me even wanna yell it to the world!!

Get out, get outta there while you can. He's certainly an idiot type. And yes.......if this is what it's like---NO WONDER you're not hitched up yet. Good grief.

(I'd say, "Why actually the camel in Egypt is no doubt more educated in woman's wishes than he appears"---but I won't)

So glad to hear that you two got to meet. I've known Melli for years online and met her also. She's a doll!!!

Also keep me in your thoughts when you travel aswell. basically I want to collect postcards from people all over the world and have started a postcard exchange. I'll send you a postcard from Brisbane, Australia if you send me one from your location. If you're interested check out my blog for more details.
