This week is ACTION. Next week is PETS(Goodie!).

ACTION=
In this 'action' shot, I thought the automatic timer had gone off (no, I'm not dancing, I'm running to get the camera). This is me and my friend Irish by the Shannon River in Ireland. Turned out to be one of my favorite photos.

And this is the only 'action' I got in Ireland, kissing the Blarney Stone. ;) Yes, some guy (tip him well) holds your feet and you lean back into space and kiss the germy stone. Bleck! UPDATE: Yes, there was a reason to kiss a germy stone. First, it's like a right of passage in Irleand travel, and second, it's supposed to bless the kisser with the gift of eloquence.

I've kissed the Blarney Stone too! That was a few years ago, though, before I became chicken about heights (that's Husband's bad influence, by the way).

I've always heard about kissing the Blarney Stone but I never knew it was done like that! Great shots!

Why would anyone kiss a germy stone? Is there a legend or something behind it? Do tell! :)

Great choices....I miss Ireland. I just saw (for the third time) the Discovery channel or maybe the Travel channel's half hour show on Dublin. *big sigh*

I knew you're weird... but kissing stones? :P

You neglected to mention that the stone gave you a case of the Irish ICK! :o) And that you had to take more action with the Irish version of Nyquil...Night Nurse.

My parents have kissed the stone too. I have yet to go. And thats would be one of must do while there. Apparently, my family came from Ireland. So I've got to go check it out.

Mine is up.

We have a shot of my FIL kissing the blarney stone. It was long before liability suits and all that, so also without the guardrails and a guide. It's just him and his buddies -- yikes! He is, btw, good with words. Happy Saturday! I played, too.

Tip him well indeed! That is so different... I love it ;) Thanks for sharing them both.

Well you're still with us, so I'm guessing that you didn't catch anything too gross from the stone. ;)
Great pictures...love the dancing for the camera one. My camera leaves you wondering too.

Dh was trying to take our picture up on Nuuanu Pali, HI. It was so windy that it blew my flash open and DH thought that was the shutter...so he missed the shot. At least I have one of him & DD with his very short hair flying!

Now I'm not sure I'd want to kiss it that bad! Looks a little scarey.

What does kissing the blarney stone suppose to do?

Have a wonderful Saturday!

obviously, it worked :-)

Cool photos! I prefer to call the first one your dancing or river gliding shot :-)

So, is that the ooohhhnly way you could reach over there to kiss the Blarney stone? Well then, I see why you'd have to tip the "kisser holder"/ "smooch saver" very well!

Kissing that stone looks very frightening, and like something you just have to do while your there all at the same time.

Very interesting... not sure if the kissy part is the most interesting or seein' a photo of you doin' it. =)
