I didn't mean to ignore my travel blogging. Mostly, there wasn't anything exciting to blog about, but now there is!
We've just booked our next trip, to a place I never thought I'd want to go but now that I've researched it I'm stoked about going!
Where am I going?
Well, let's play a little blog game. Why don't you GUESS where I'm going, and then I'll tell you all about it in the next post?

Amsterdam? Holland? Italy? If I keep guessing maybe I'll hit on it.
Holland? I thought of Holland too because of the shoes thing, but I'm not sure about the rest of the hints.
I'm pretty sure it's Amsterdam. Lovely place, I'd like to go there again. Maybe this summer, since I'm only a few hours drive away.

I think it's Amsterdam too, but the country is The Netherlands. ;) There is this travel show on PBS that I watch sometimes...Globe Trekker I think it's called. And they went there to this sort of commune/city where they think pot is okay, but are against "hard drugs."
I went and looked up that show...yes, it's Globe Trekker...but I can't find the right episode. I've looked through all the ones by the presenter that I think did it, but none of them are her in Amsterdam. Oh well, maybe she went to Sweden instead.
Amsterdam isn't really a sailor's town, but that's where Van Gogh's Sunflowers hang. You are very close to me. If you follow the North Sea Channel to the sea, you'll pass our locks. :)
