Melli asked about my favorite summer vacation from my youth. We did mostly educational trips when I was a kid. I don't know if I have a favorite, but my most memorable was my first trip to DC. My grandad went with us, and (I think purposely) lost us in the Smithsonian, and my mom was all worried about finding him. Also, we rode the metro, and the 12-year old (me) knew which line to get on by reading the signs, but the adults had to roll a bum off a bench to ask (confirming that I was right.)
Katherine asked the story of Pooh Bear. Well, he was born in my grandparents' barn, the only black and white cat in a litter of all black cats. I was actually planning to take another kitten from another litter, but as often happens on a farm, the other kitten went missing. So I rescued the Pooh Bear. I could hold him in the palm of my hand when I got him.
She and Hailey (and ok, EVERYBODY) also asked for an update on "the guy": Well, I think things are going well. I've decided not to write about it much, or talk about it much with other people. It seems to make my neurosis about it worse. Let's just say it's great and terrifying all at once. I'll ask him if I can post our picture that we took together this past weekend.
Island girl wonders how I got into blogging. Honestly, I don't remember. I think we had to do a project at work on blogging, and in researching it, I started my own blog. At first, I was in a mad rush to get traffic. Now, it's more therapeutic than anything. However, I'm thinking about taking a blogging break. I don't know.
