Well, I *think* I've worked out the insurance/dentist issue. I spent a big pat of yesterday on the phone with nearly everyone that exists in the world to figure out what happened. The one-year wait was waived if I could prove that I had coverage before - dude, how stupid. First, tell me there's a wait, and second, tell me you need proof when I START the new job. So I sent everyone the proof they needed that they were crack smokers, and my employer called the insurance company, so now I just have to call the insurance company every day to make sure they actually update my information. Cuz that's my job - to do their job. Argh.
In lighter blogging, I thought I'd share with you the hilarious events of my drive home last night. There were some construction workers and a truck. The truck was driving slowly, and the workers were working really hard - picking up the orange cones they had put on the road. The truck got a little too far ahead of them, so they started running after it with the cones - which are seemingly hard to run with. So, one guy tried to make it easier, and put the orange cone on his head like a big orange dunce hat and kept running. :)

Hey babe, sorry about your insurance woes...no wonder it has you grinding your teeth at night! Grrr! Hope you had a good time with your family. We'll try to connect some other time when you're home. btw....your snowman tree sounds wonderful.
Well done for getting to the bottom of that insurance business. And that was a mean truck, outrunning (outdriving?) the workers!
Sorry about the insurance hassle.
That's funny about the construction workers. hee hee
Yes, please advice all insurance and corporate asshats to put down their crack pipes and walk away. No, don't look back, just walk away. Good for you for stickin' it to The Man. :) Would have loved to see the construction workers! You have to clap for the genius of the guy with the uh, dunce cap.
Insurance. Ugh.
Orange Cone Hats. YEAH!
I tellya....I'll add a few choice words to this whole scenario with the dental insurance!----It's all a bunch of nightmarish, bureaucratic bullsh*t!! I've been in this situation so many times.
One was when I flew the coop and got shouting mad!---to make a long story short, it was an 'emergency' hospital visit with my heart....and they decided to keep me overnight for "observation" ---which at the time, I thought it was a good idea since it was more or less a matter of life and death.....then, TWO months later I got a 'sweet' letter informing me that I wasn't 'pre-approved' to even ENTER a hospital!!! The bill was 10x over your $600. Well, I blew up. I went in PERSON to the insurance office and told them that in so many words, I'm not paying!! And threatened law suits galore. They relenquished and paid 80% ---but they were to pay it ALL!! I settled for the 80 instead of nothing paid from THERE pockets!
Oh, now you got me started!!!
Hope you can join the holiday decorations parade I started --click on the upper righthand corner banner next time you drop by.

Oh, dental insurance...!! show them how to work well! sorry you have no other choice!
Where was your camere when the guy put the orange cone on his head ? LOL, glad he made you laugh!
Glad you'll be getting the denist and insurance thing worked out. Insurance issues make me sick, too.
The construction worker scenerio does sound hilarious! I would like to have seen that!!
I agree with Mar, I would have loved to see a pic of the road worker with an orange cone on his head. That made me laugh, envisioning it.
You missed the perfect title, though...
"From Crackheads to Coneheads"
;-]
hahaha the times you wish you had a camera with you!
Wow. I thought all the Three Stooges were dead.
Apparently, they're hard at work on the road!
You gotta love insurance companies who hope you leave them alone and just pay out of your pocket.
My luck, the man with the big orange dunce cone will end up being my husband.
