Don't Say It!

I want you all to learn from my experiences, to go forth in life and not embarrass yourself. ;)

Here's the thing NOT to say to the cute Italian guy working at the pizza place.

"Oh my gosh! It's huge! I was expecting something much smaller."

To defend myself, he had just handed me a meatball sub that could've probably fed about 6 people, but still. He got this funny look on his face, and not in a good way.

Though I did feel better on the way home. I had a 360 degree sunset. I don't know if I'd ever seen something like it. It had been storming all day, and the sun came out just in time to go down. The sun itself was setting in my rear view mirror, but there were so many clouds that the color was in front of me, too! Beautimous!

Ah ha ha ha ha!! I think that's hysterical! Those Italian guys have such tender egos, I'm sure you bruised his. :)

I think you should have reached over the counter and pointed at his junk when you said that.

Wait. Would that have been rude?

I say similar to my boss all the time - usually when I have to read a document that I expected to be 4 pages and it's 40. But he usually replies, "yeah, I get that a lot." A look of death usually makes us even...

hahaha i've done something similar before!

Try it this way next time:
Oh il mio Dio, รจ enorme.

Leave out the part about "expecting something smaller" [Qualcosa di piccolo aspettavo].
Then, "point at his junk" and leave a nice tip! Sorta.

;-)

If I had a dollar for every time I've said that to a guy handing me a sub, I'd be one rich woman. LOL

Funny post. Congrats on the ROFL Award!
