Italian Anyone?

So I called in a curbside takeout order to Macaroni Grill (meatball lasagne if you must know). While I was on hold, I got a little Italian lesson. Now, I took an Italian class before I went to Italy, so I know the important questions and phrases you need to know. Where is? How much? etc.

The Italian lesson on the phone taught me how to say, "Excuse me, where is the bathroom so I can wash the pasta sauce off of my pants?"

I can say that in a whole week in Italy, this never once came up.

Still sick. Bleeeeeeck. (though a bit better) I went to el doctor, and he gave me some super expensve antibiotic that comes in a pill form as big as a quarter. I now have to specifically ask for drugs that come in generic form, and in a shape that I can swallow. That's just too much to remember.

And yet I continue to go to the gym. Doc says as long as there's no fever, the sweating is good. I just get super tired. I have officially lost my mind when it comes to exercise. Having lost almost 10 pounds becomes quite an incentive to keep it up.

I've always gone by the "no fever" thing, too. Good to hear an MD back it up.
I suffered through a spin class on Monday blowing my nose the whole way. Probably a repeat performance tonight. What's wrong with us? :)

Pardon me, I just spilled some pasta sauce .... I hope you're feeling better. Just don't get those pills mixed up with actual quarters.

There's a joke about swallowing quarters and making change, but I can't remember it right now. :)

Isn't it AMAZING how protective we become of those lost pounds!? We had a newcomer to Curves yesterday and she was asking me HOW I did it... and so I was telling her, and she says... "oh I don't want to change my eating habits" ... I said "I didn't want to either! Until I lost a few pounds..." LOL! Once you lose a few, boy ya wanna make sure they stay gone... and lose some MORE!

Hope you're feeling better soon sweety! Take care!

I really need to start thinking about losing weight. I just hate to think about it, you know.

I'm so sorry you are under the weather, Carmen! That sucks so fiercely!

I'm a big believer that a well-placed feline fart in the face is a cure-all.

Get Pooh on that!

I hope you're feeling better. Take care of yourself. I'm down 9 lbs, so I can relate. You kinda get addicted to the gym. Have a good day!

Last time I lost that much it was because I got really sick and couldn't eat for a week. Not recommended.
Sorry that you're still not feeling well.
That's kinda cool about the Italian lesson...I didn't know that they did that. Of course I've never ate there either.
Sorry to hear about those pills too...what were they thinking???

I personally liked learning "Gimme more gelato" in Italian!

My mom works there- she basically started hostessing to kill time lol- and I've learned some interesting things when visiting her for lunch. It's pretty funny when your 18 month old is repeating "Ciao bella!"
