I Pity the Fool

Did you know that Mr. T has a new show on VH1 called "I Pity the Fool"? It seems like he travels the country telling stupid people that they're stupid. The commercial shows him yelling, Mr. T style, at a woman in the express lane with more than 15 itmes.

I could've saved VH1 some money - I'd love to do that, and I don't have to travel far. I could stop at my condo association, but I'm surrounded by idiots, so we're talking several seasons of material here.

Boy, talk about milking a concept! How long can the guy live off of that line? Pretty long, I guess.

I don't know what it is about condo associations, but mine here is kind of doltish too. I'm going through a dispute with them now. I've been here 16 years and I'm treated like a renter.

You could do it, but the mohawk would be a real turn-off!

I was just thinking the same thing as Anthony. I wish I could have a one-liner that raked in the cash year after year.

What makes it worse is that people still find it amusing enough to spend a half-hour watching him parade about in his bling, screaming at people while his mohawk sashays from side to side.

What I think is hilarious is the fact that most people in their twenties probably don't even know who he is!

But, then again, VH1's demographic is early 30's and up. At least it used to be!

Now? Well, you know how people in their 30's enjoy watching Flava Flav cavort with scantily-clad skanks...

kukka: I've always thought of Flava Flav as kind of a skank, himself! I suppose that opposites do not always attract.

How much would I love to go around telling people they suck? That would be so much fun, I can't even stand it.

But I'm not sure I want to watch Mr. T doing it.

I can't think of anyone I would RATHER watch doing it than Mr. T.

(Except maybe Emo Phillips.)

T. rocks!!!

Yes, but do you have a mohawk and 14 pounds of gold jewelry? I think not. Therefore, you can't "Pity the Fool." ha ha, I heard about his show - too funny!

I didn't know Mr.T. was still alive!

Ugh...what evil is the condo association up to now? :)

Does he still have the bling? Or did he auction that off on eBay or something?

You gotta give it to him. He's nearing his golden years if he isn't there yet and the disease must have done something to him. He needs to earn the money.

Besides, you sure you wanna live with that look?

And there is a big draw of the American public that ENJOYS watching an aged Mr. T yell at people telling them they're stupid???? I just don't get it. BUT... I probably WOULD enjoy watching Carmen vs. the Condo Assoc.!

Oh Carmen! It sounds as if you've seriously missed your calling. Vh1 just doesn't know what they're missing girl!

so glad I don't get that channel. the commercials are bad enough...why do they show me commercials for channels I don't even get?

I saw that and didn't get around to posting.

I'm going to watch just to see what happens.

I saw this advertised last night... I don't even know why it surprised me, but it did. Pathetic.

I just saw the commercial and at the end, they said you could get a device called "Mr. T In Your Pocket".
