Curiouser and Curiouser

I just thought I'd share that my cat, Pooh Bear, has learned what the different sounds on my TiVo mean. He has been Pavlov-like trained to know that I watch a show while I eat dinner, then delete it when I'm done and get up to feed him. He'll hear the whomp as I fast forward to the end and then the bloop when I delete the show. By this time, his ears have pricked up, he's jumped off the couch and is sitting by his bowl. He also knows these same sounds later in the evening mean it's time to go to bed. Darn cat.

since I've just moved from tivo to the dvr from my cable company, I really miss the tivo sounds. Jack's been learning to read from tivo- he could find 'ed edd & eddy' and 'spongebob' when he was 3. so, maybe we're pathetic. I prefer to think we're just techno-intelligent.
so, no vomiting since daddy has left. I'm USUALLY okay with the 2nd time, because it's never too bad & I am pretty careful in watching for the signs. I have too much to do for this!! oh, again, jack offers his 'gear' for your mummy adventures...

Isn't it amazing how they figure these things out? Our cats have figured out when we bring out the little plates that it is time for their wet food that they get once a week. They could be in the other room and they come running.

My cat learned that the microwave pinging meant he was getting fish.

Once he wouldn't come home when called (he is a cat, after all), so we pinged the microwave knowing he'd come running (even though there was no fish for him).

He never fell for that little number again.

My dog knows from the smell of the food if she is going to get the left-overs. When we have steak she can't wait and looks at us constantly. When we have pizza she whines because she knows there will be no pizza for her.

She also knows that she isn't supposed to bark at the neighbor dogs. So she'll run at the fence back and forth and not bark. The neighbor dogs have no such rule and they bark their heads off...so she's having a great time. I holler at her for doing that too but she likes that game too much.

Oh, Karen. Come back to the TiVo cult! Come Back! :) And Tell Jack thanks, we might wrap ourselves up and become mummies for a wierd photo op.

Twiga and Red: aren't our animals so smart?

janet: thank you. I like the script too. Click on it and you can go to the same site to get one of your own.

Renee: I'd be the opposite, no steak, but here's some pizza. :)

A new look. I like it. Such a clever kitty. Mine know it is 5:30 and time to eat about 4 p.m.

My TT is up.

Good luck on finding your man. I hope that you get one that doesn't snore. I love my man to death but I just wish that he didn't snore.
