Thursday 13 v. 28

Thirteen of Carmen's Anticipated Fall TV Shows
I am a TV nut. And in the cold months, I can usually found snuggled into the couch watching all the shows on my TiVo. What shows do you love to watch? Here are the top pics on my To Do List on the TiVo.
  1. Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. There was a lot of hype, and I didn't think it could live up, but the pilot episode was really good!
  2. Lost! Oct. 4, Oct. 4, Oct. 4
  3. Heros. Looking forward to the pilot next week. It looks like something I'd enjoy.
  4. Bones. I still think of David Boreanez as "Angel" from "Buffy", but he does a great job in this show.
  5. The Amazing Race. I just love the show and seeing where everyone travels. Now that Kukka Marie, Feline Empress (see post below) has agreed to be my Amazing Race partner next year, we're recapping our race-capades. :)
  6. Two and a Half Men. Naturally, this comes on opposite of Heros. I'll need to break out the VCR, or figure out how to rig my TiVo to tape one thing while I watch another.
  7. Gilmore Girls. It's the last season. Boo hoo! Since Amy Palindino (sp?) left, I hope it's still as good.
  8. Medium. I really like this show, though it does scare me on occasion.
  9. Battlestar Galactica. I'm a sci-fi dweeb at heart. Let's kick some Cylon butt!
  10. Las Vegas. It's corney, but I like the cast.
  11. Deal or No Deal. Howie, I luv ya! Can you believe the guy this week that had the $3 million in his case, and sold it for $675,000? I nearly cried for him, but I'd have taken the cash too!
  12. Standoff. There wasn't a whole big promotion around Fox's new show. But with the guy from Office Space (Ron Livingston), what's not to love? The episodes I've seen have been VERY good. Hope it lasts.
  13. Grey's Anatomy. I didn't get to watch it last year - it came on opposite of something else. But I caught some reruns. So this year, it's moved up on the TiVo priority!

Off your list, it's Gilmore Girls. I like that they are so witty, funny and sometimes very weird :-)

Funny, nowadyas, I never watch TV. I've switched it to reading blogs instead....

Grey's Anatomy all the way! Got totally hooked last season. I'm seriously distressed it's on opposite of CSI this year which I also love.

How cool that we both picked TV this week!
I like Howie, too, although he gets on some people's nerves.

Looks like you're a fan of the dramas. You'll see how much different we are when you look at my list!
We'd be time-shifting junk all over the place.

Grey's is the best show on TV!!! I can't wait for tomorrow night!!

BTW, drop me a note and let me know how I can get that "auto-links" box at the bottom, and how to set it up.

    thanks. :)

wow, you've blown my theory out of water! My theory was those who like House or Gilmore Girls don't like Lost!

I really like Medium, too, and it scares me as well :-) When does the new season start with that?

I am a big fan of 1, 2, 5, 7, and 13. Two and a Half Men though? I think that has to be one of the worst shows on television! Since you like Gilmore Girls and Grey's Anatomy, I suppose it is ok if you watch something that I don't like. =)

Wow! I'm a nerd. I have only even heard of a handful of these. Gilmore Girls is the only one I've actually watched, and even that viewing is in syndication.

Heros looks awesome, I think it will be one of my new favorites.

    and Grey's Anatomy - OH I can't wait!!

    Happy Thursday! Mines up!

Oh, The Amazing Race... knowing how shit UK programme buyers are, we probably won't get the current season until about 2016. They're still rerunning the series with Bolo (remember him?). Mind you, I'm not complaining... I LOVE me that WWF guy!

Love Gilmore girls myself.... Other than that....I don't really get to watch much... My kids hog the TV....

    Happy Thursday!

I don't watch TV either. We did just get the Season 2 DVDs of Lost, though, so we'll be watching that.

I can't wait for 'Lost' and 'Medium' either. But I am surpised you left off 'How I Met Your Mother'. That show is so great. Loved your list.

I am so totally TV illiterate. I haven't seen any of those. But I live in Romania. We are lucky to get some good reruns here. Great list. Stop by and check mine out if you have a chance.

Grey's is so the best! if you haven't fallen in love with Mr. McDreamy, you will for sure. So Studio 60 was good, heh? I have it saved on TIVO, so I am hoping to dive in to it before vacation.
    My TT is up!

Nice list, although the only show I watch is Battlestar Galactica. I can't wait to find out what's going on - they left us with such a cliffhanger at the end of season 2!

    Zeus said...

I loved Studio 60 and last night, Kidnapped was really good as well. I think NBC finally got some good programming after some years in the pits.

I'm looking forward to Heros and Lost as well! They look awesome!

Happy Thursday to you, Miss Carmen! My list is up as well if you want to check it out.

I'll be tuning in to Studio 60. I also like Old Christine with Julia Louise Dreyfus. Two and Half men and Medium once in awhile... I'm "on line."

Since my grandson was born, TV has been the past to me. Have not much time to watch except for very late shows which over here you don't get much except for talk shows or documentary films.
    Thanks for stopping by.

Gilmore Girls rock! I love that program. It's such a shame it's the last of the series boohoo!!

    Anonymous said...

Lost and Medium are the shows I love off your list. And I'm addicted to Survivor, and America's Next Top Model(it is so lite - kindof refreshing in a way)(making excuses for myself). And I LOVE Rome, but it's not on until 2007.......................... uggh.

    Kukka-Maria said...

Eek! I only watch one of your favs (uh...Amazing Race, sister!). I would add The Office, Saturday Night Live (yes, the show is still on and remains one of my favorites), and How I Met Your Mother.

I'm so glad not to see the over-rated Desperate Housewives on your list, Miss Thang! It further proves you are my hero (which I'll tearfully mention when Phil says, "Is there anything you want to say to your partner" if we get eliminated from The Amazing Race...which is totally impossible.).

    Anonymous said...

I'm a huge Amazing Race fan too. Oh would I love to go, but gotta wait for the daughter to grow up a little.

    Shannon said...

I like to catch Amazing Race and Deal or No Deal. I have been watching all week. Another woman from our town was called by Howie, so I probably won't be on TV. Go Myra!

    Jennfactor 10 said...

I am also looking forward to more Studio 60 AND the premier of Heroes...Howie I like, but cannot get into the show...

    Sadie said...

My Mom loves TV too. I don't care for it so much, but I just give myself a bath and take a little nap instead.

    Thanks for visiting my TT!

I can't really think of anything I am really waiting for... I tried to watch Kidnapped last night but fell asleep (it was soooooooo boring). Guess I'll have to stick with Carlos Mencia.

Lost, yes can't wait! And I love Amazing Race too.

Your Amazing Race stint with Kukka Maria was BRILLIANT! I think it was even better than the show which we do watch regularly!

YEAH! Battlestar Galactica is about to begin again! I bought the DVDs for my hubby's birthday. I seriously am NOT a sci fi fan, but this show is GREAT!

And so is HOUSE. Yeah for the fall season starting!!!!!

I've posted my Thursday Thirteen. Enjoy! ;)

    Jim McKee said...

Carmen, most of your list consists of shows that I'm not into. But you did mention Lost and Heroes, so that part is cool!

    Sarah said...

Battlestar Galactica is so on our next DVD list. And I am a sci fi person.

    Anonymous said...

Well that's quite a list, your Tivo might start smoking!
I have the Tivo set up in my studio to tape ALL sci-fi shows and the DVR in the living room to tape everything else (hubby sneaks those tatoo and motorcycle shows on my dvr can you believe that!)
I'm soooo excited about Battlestar! Have you been watching the webisodes on their site? You need to if your not!

Sorry your jealous about the dolphin thing, butyou can do it when you come to Hawaii in a couple monhts!

Studio 60 was decent, but I'll reserve judgement for a few more weeks. I am SO LOOKING FORWARD to Gilmore Girls. Let's hope the quality does not suffer. And I want Luke and Lor. to get back together!
I'm looking forward to The Office, My Name Is Earl, Battlestar Gallactica, and 24.

I love Lost, Bones, and Two and a Half Men.

    Southern Girl said...

I LOVE The Amazing Race! I'll be checking out Gilmore Girls, too, but I'm giving the new guy about three episodes to pull it out of last season's nose dive before I find something else to watch. Hated the direction Amy and Daniel took the show last season.

    Thanks for visiting my TT!

I kept hearing people talk about TiVo and had no idea what it was. I figured it out recently and am surprised by how many people have them. I don't know if you can get them here. Also I'd love to see Bones and Battle Star Galactica but I don't think they're playing here either.
Watching throught the seasons of Angel at the moment though and loving it. Up to where they first introduce Fred (did you watch the show), they were a great few episodes.

    Anonymous said...

I'm an Amazing Race fan myself! Can't wait for the Lost season and Desperate Housewives to start.

    Anonymous said...

#13 and #2 are on my list.

    BTW...you're FABULOUS! :)

    Anonymous said...

With the exception of Grey's Anatomy, I won't be watching much TV this season...mostly because I don't like TV and I think I like the shows a lot less...movies are more my style!

Anyhow, thanks for stopping by my TT!

I Love Grey's anatomy! Just finished watching the premier!

We like the same stuff. I am so behind in TV watching. I am actually thinking about TIVO! I am on Season 1 of LOST from netflix. Told ya I am behind.

Congrats on being Fabulous! You are everyday!

I am so looking forward to this too - but I think we are going to have to upgrade to a bigger Tivo. It has not even been a week of the new season yet and ours is almost full plus we have been watching things as fast as we can.
