I'm Still Alive

Yes, all of you who were wondering, or maybe don't even care, I don't know. :) I am still alive.

It's a little less than 2 weeks until our Greece trip, and I'm super excited. I bought a new camera for the occasion. Well, technically I used some of the points I've earned writing travel journals, but it's a new camera just the same. It's a Canon S5, it's got 12x zoom and 8mp, with a 3-inch (I think) display screen. I never thought I'd be anything but a Nikon girl, but so far, I'm really impressed with this camera. The zoom is fantastic (Nikon didn't have a point-and-shoot with that kind of zoom) and the shots are really clear. The camera has anti-shake, so it doesn't need a tripod as often.

Here are some pics taken this weekend with the new camera. "The guy" and I went downtown to the Richmond Capitol grounds to practice taking pics for the trip. I have to train him up. Ha.

I C said Hootin' Anni! Gotcha on "the guy". Message loud and clear, and lordy, no ---not even thinking about "Him".

Some great pictures taken over the weekend.

Maybe your move to Richmond is a good thing for all considered.

Of course I care. Don't you know, cats suffer in silence...

My human also has a canon. It was tough choice between the canon and the nikon though but the canon won.

I'm a Canon girl too (formerly an Olympus girl)!

Looks like we'll be in the Med around the same time, you guys in Greece, we in Sicily. Maybe we can still do that MIRL... somewhere inbetween, perhaps... Corfu? Just kidding!

Have a great time in Greece! Swim, swim, swim all you can, it's got the best, cleanest water I have ever found anywhere in the world!

my favorite digital camera was a Canon, but now it's so out of date, I use something I don't like nearly as much just because it's got higher resolution.

wow, 8mp. that's a lot of p! :)
