- I share a birthday with A.A. Milne, the author of Winnie the Pooh.
- I also share a birthday with Kevin Costner and Cary Grant
- I've had only one surprise birthday party, which my mom arranged when I was 17. She called me downstairs to program the VCR, and I was grumbling the whole way until everyone yelled "Surprise!" and scared the crap out of me!
- I had to wait an extra day when I turned 16 to get my driver's license, because of the MLK day holiday. I was sooooo PO'd
- I spent my 30th birthday in Las Vegas with Friend Irish, and my birthday dinner was at Prime in the Bellagio. The chef wrote "Happy Birthday" in chocolate on my dessert plate (which was a chocolate volcano cake)
- My preferred birthday cake is yellow cake with chocolate icing
- In college, I shared a birthday with a sorority sister, and some other sorority sisters got together and hired the all-male acapella group, The Virginia Gentlemen, to serenade us. YUMMY!
- I like to drag out my birthday celebration for the whole month. This year, even into February, when I'm having my birthday gathering with friends. :)

Oh wow! I just noticed that your bday is 2 weeks after mine.
My only "suprise" birthday party was held for me by my friends...but I didn't want to go to it. I think it was the year I turned 13. My dad had to tell me what was going on to convince me to go to my friend's house. I wasn't very impressed at the time, but looking back it was very sweet of them.

we celebrate our birth months and birth weeks at my house. the kids will say, "come on, why do i have to set the table? it's my birth week!!" or "you have to be nice to me, because it's my birth month."
