1. So I'm watching TV last night, and it's one of those medical shows. Someone is being rolled into surgery, and they shoot a closeup of the sign that says "Operating Room". Under those words, the braile version. That's a bit disturbing to me. I hope my surgeon doesn't need braile to find the OR.
2. I bought a new wrapping paper storage thingy. NONE of my wrapping paper fits (the rolls are too tall.) WTF? Now I have to take it back. Grrrr.
PS: the Christmas tree voting post is back up. Go vote! :)

The OR sign would disturb me too!! I'm off to vote now....zoom! *s*
OK, I totally saw that same show and noticed the braile, too!! I also thought it was a little strange, but hey, if blind hunters in TX can shoot guns why can't blind doctors operate?? Oh, btw, can I have Pooh? I need him more than you (see my blog today.)
Have you ever seen the braile on the drive up ATMs? I find that alarming.

I voted!
I've been watching your Hawaiian countdown for a while now--you'll love it, which island are you going to? Have you checked out the Blue Bible for Hawaii? The "revealed" books? They have "Maui Revealed" and "Kauai Revealed" and I think one for the Big Island. They're the best travel books ever.
Have you seen Zeus' post on vision impaired hunters? Yes... At any rate, he's using that knowledge to launch an impressive campaign.
Just got back from voting for your tree, though I have to admit, I put Tiggerprr first--there was a cat in hers...
Perhaps the braile sign is to keep the visually impaired from entering the room? although one would think that access to the OR was restricted to those with those electronic badges.
And about the wrapping paper storage thingy...thanks for the head's up. I've been storing my wrapping paper in tall skinny cardboard boxes with the tops of the paper just sticking out. I guess I'll just keep to that method. Now if I could just find the Santa paper I hid last year!
Maybe you could store aluminum foil in there? :)
Always helpful, I know.
I voted for you, Carmen. When will I receive my check?
Braille often has weird placement. Like at drive-through ATMs. Hmmmm...
I voted for you in the Christmas tree contest. Ugh! for returns!
Ahhhhh... you bought extra long paper and extra short storage? Tsk tsk tsk... Maybe you could use it to store sweaters under your bed!
I hear you about the braille thing. WE have become too PC for our own good.
When did logic take a back seat!
OMG that's funny about the braille. Reminds me of the braille t-shirt I was going to make. There's something else to make you go hmmm. :)
