Come over to the PPP side

I've gotten a few comments about my switch to the "dark side" :) - writing posts for
PayPerPost. Yeah, I never thought I'd do it either, but actually, it' not so bad. I write about things that I would probably write about anyway, I just put some special links in and voila! There's money in my PayPal account.

I don't know if it's the end of the year or what, but I find myself to be without any spending money recently. I have very high hopes for this PayPerPost money.

1. TiVo HD box. My evil cable company is switching everyone over to digital cable by 2008. First, I don't want to pay the extra money for it, but whatever. But what really gets me is that it doesn't work very well with my current TiVo box. Of course, it works PERFECTLY with the cable company's DVR, but it's not a TiVo. I just think that's crummy. If I get the new TiVo box (which is a little pricey now, but I'm hoping the cost comes down), then it will work with the new digital, HD TV programming, and I can go thhhhhhbbbbbbt to the cable company's DVR.

2. The new iPod video - if Apple ever releases the thing. I want an iPod video, so I can watch episodes of Buffy while I work out, and so I can plug it into the new outlets on airplanes and watch video through the airplane video systems in the back of the seat in front of me. :) I don't imagine that's going to be cheap either, but it's got to be coming out soon, because Apple doesn't seem all that concerned about Microsoft's Zune player.

So one post earned me $4. One post! If I can keep that up for a while, I can earn enough to get me started. :) If you want to try it out, send me your email address, and I'll refer you.

I snooped over at PPP, but I was looking for what kind of things do they have to post about.

I'm worried I'll sign up and have nothing to write if that could happen. But I do admit that I'm not the most "out there" kind of person and there's a lot I don't know anything about.

I think the PPP thing is a great idea, and not dark side at all. In fact, I went over to their website to look into it--but I'm not too crazy about putting my SSN over the net.

I don't see anything wrong with PPP as long as readers know its a sponsored post. Good luck!
