Pooh Bear Speaks Out

I was getting a little jealous, hearing about all these cats that have their own blogs. I don't have MY own blog. So the Woman said I could write the occasional post on her blog. Which is ok by me, because writing a whole blog would take away from my napping and preening.

I'll tell you a bit about myself first, because it's really all about me. My name is Pooh Bear (I can't believe that's my name. The vet calls me Poo, which PISSES ME OFF!) and I am a gorgeous black and white cat. I came from humble barn beginnings, but the Woman recognized that I had that "special something" and she whisked me away to become the royalty that I am today.

The Woman has FINALLY started calling me "his highness", and honestly, I don't know why it took her 9 years to figure that out. (She's a bit slow, but I do fancy her.)

So last night, I was having this WONDERFUL dream. I was chasing birds from tree to tree, frolicking and laughing. The Woman thought I was having a seizure. She SAYS that my ears were twitching and my feet were shaking. She tried to wake me up, but I was deep into my dream, and was resisting her efforts. When I did wake up, she scared the S&^% out of me. Seriously, Woman, do I wake you up when you're having your "good" dreams about Matthew Maconaughey? Oh, that's right. I do wake you up. Well, regardless, you shouldn't have woken ME up.

Then, she had the nerve to chase me around the house to try and take my latest kill from me. Nevermind that it was a rumpled up piece of celephane - it was MY celephane, and I had stalked it and pounced. I growled and hissed, but the Woman would not stop trying to take my prize. Had she waited a mere hour or so, I would've left it on her bed where she sleeps, but NOOOO, she had to have it right then.

Whew! This blogging stuff is tiring. YAWN! I think I'll go sit in the windowsill and watch it rain (code for nap). I will talk to you peeps again soon. Peace out!

Pooh, you are great at this blogging thing! I really enjoyed reading your post but sure wished you had not mentioned that "Y" word cuz now I'm starting to do that too...chi is getting very sleepy! *s*

Oh Pooh Bear, you are very handsome, your highness. I'm so glad that you spoke out :) Don't scare your mom like that with those seizure things though!

Ha ha ha, I think you need your own blog ;).

Pooh Bear...If I were your vet, I would call you "Bear" or "His Royal Highness, The Exteemed Pooh Bear" or just plain "Sexy."

Because you are.

Perhaps you should pledge your undying and deep affection for me (publicly, of course). Then, when you get your own blog (and you will...), I could add you to my Tomcat Stable.

Just call me "Debbie Gibson," because "I'm lost in your eyes..."

Very funny. Loved the dream paragraph.

What's it like to sit in a window sill? Is it scary? Or neat, like a little tree house?

I tell you, cats are taking over the blogosphere. Because they are all oh, so cute!!! I don't even have one...
Love the code for a nap :)

You're right Pooh Bear. Blogging is tiring. I have really lost a lot of my napping time.

But I did enjoy your post, hope you will post often!

Pooh Bear! I am so glad that you posted so we can get to know you better. I can tell you're royalty just by your picture alone. It sounds like your Woman may need to be gotten into line a little. I trust you have that under control, though.

I think that takes some nerve to call you "Poo" with a straight face. Does this vet ever let out a small snicker as he says it? Did you ever think he does this because he is jealous of the affections you and your human pet share? I suspect there is a deep, underlying reason why he would personally attack you in such a way.

As for your pet waking you up, consider yourself lucky you do not live in this house. All I ever get when I sleep is f***ed with. Why do you think I somehow have this bitter quality to me?

It's all thanks to that human pet of mine.

Your highness is very good at blogging. And what a beautiful cat you are.

Hmmmmm ... I think you may be ghost-writing for this "Woman" of which you speak.

Perhaps you should try your hand at a Thursday Thirteen?

Oh... Your MAJESTY... OFF with her HEAD! How DARE she deprive you of your hard earned cellophane! Well, SOME cats might try to EAT it and choke on it, but I'm sure with your supreme intelligence that would NEVER happen to you! I'm sure she was TOTALLY over-reacting and really should be severely punished. If not her head, well then, you should at least ignore her for a day or two! That should teach her!

Pooh Bear-I think you have great blogging potential.

Something will have to be done with that vet, though. Imaginge, calling you "Pooh"-what is he thinking!?!

Thanks for sharing. I don't think my cat would have much interest. She is very private.

Poor Poohbear! At least Mom will know next time not to wake you up!

Nice to meet you, Pooh Bear! I won't be letting Morgan or Byron read this because then they'll be wanting their own blog too. Then I'd NEVER be able to use the computer!
